PAVILION OPEN FOR BUSINESS

It was a cold and wet April evening when the new Grove Pavilion opened in the Ocean Grove Park. However the music was certainly hot, with famed Neil Diamond tribute performer Peter Byrne and the 30 Piece Grove Pavilion Orchestra the highlight of a marathon five-hour opening event.

Those who weathered the storm were treated to an incredible concert experience featuring an array of talented local performers including opera star Sally Wilson, baritone Roger Howell, acoustic duo Rachel and Luke, trio the Tiny Giants and dancers from Ocean Grove Calisthenics, Tides of Welcome choir and a very hot local band of drummers.

It was an auspicious start for the facility, which has arisen from the need for an all-weather community performance space. It showed the facility was up to the task of hosting live performances on a large scale.
